Eric and Sookie in Entertainment Weekly Magazine – HOT!

I am sure you all remember this photo shoot from a few months back. We never saw this Eric and Sookie shot that now accompanies their coverage of the finale. It is lovely! I hope, hope, hope that more mags will start doing more coverage of these two ONLY!

Now THIS should be the cover of Charlaine Harris’ books from true blood edition… not some minor characters that appearance hardly last more than 1 book. I swear publisher’s just dont have imagination no more.

I totally agree. There needs to be more pics of just the two of them; should’ve had them during the season (with season 4 being as BIG as it was). Doubt will see much else; doesn’t hurt to hope though. Missin’ TB already. :(

I know we have all been worried that Sookie might end up with Bill, but this photo is a perfect reminder that the writers have made the Sookie-Eric relationship so much more…sacred or special than the Sookie-Bill relationship. Bill never had sacred sex that involved the meshing of two different cultures-fae and Viking. Bill and Sookie’s relationship wasn’t dragged out as long as Eric and Sookie’s relationship either. From the time line of the relationship, to the degree of magic (not just chemistry here, actual magic), to how Sookie rates each relationship (she just said that there was mutual love between her and Bill, not that it was unforgettable. That’s NOT a word you just toss around!), the writers are elevating Sookie’s relationship with Eric to a new plane. Bill is Sookie’s awkward ex. First relationship, first sex partner, first vampire…he is a bump in her relationship history. What I’m looking for in season 5, is some serious chemistry between our fav fae and viking, some awkward pining stuff from Bill (he’s kind of getting to that awkward best friend/creepy stalker stage like in the books), and some REALLY hot werewolf and weretiger

I have to agree. This photo is reminisce of the book relationship between Eric & Sookie. They have a very deep loving emotional relationship. No one denies their love, but it did take some time for both to finally commit to the relationship. Life is crazy & hectic for both Eric & Sookie with the mix of other relationships.

Bill is a 1st love & heartache, but without it she would have never met Eric the deepest love she’s admits she’s ever known.

Quinn is a relationship she needed to have to open her eyes in regards to her true desire of what she looking for. Quinn wasn’t perfect a guy with his keeping secrets, breaking promises & disappearing acts. It only allowed Sookie time to think about her relationships Bill & Eric & everyone she loves.

In the end she understands her love for Eric is truly real & is equally returned. I just hope AB doesn’t mess around with the essence of E/S love. I also hope CH keeps this very special relationship very much intact since it’s basically the heart of the Sookie Stackhouse Novels

That is so wonderful to hear! I have been watching all of the seasons, but I have yet to actually start the books, even though I have them. Because I am an Eric/Sookie fan, I was nervous to start reading them because I do not like Bill very much, and I do not want to deal with their nonsense again, if it is anything like the tv series.
If it is, would you recommend me reading all of them (is the series close to the books?- I know from reading fanfiction, other characters that have not been introduced), or can I start at a book which has purely Eric/Sookie? If so, which one is it?

      Thanks so much!
      E/S forever! :D
