A lovely reader here (thanks A.Wynne!) pointed out a new promo video for the season three finale. There are a couple REALLY interesting spoilery scenes. The first shows Sookie using her fairie “hand” powers… whatever they are exactly. She is outside during daylight and wearing the same grey t-shirt from the last episode (11). So it would appear she does make it outside before the vamps can get fully cooked in the sun and she uses her powers to subdue Russell and then help them inside. Alright Sook!
The second scene of interest, and probably my fave, is the one where it appears Beel has been banished from Sookie’s house. He is clawing the doorway to stay inside but alas he is flying right out the door and hopefully out of Sookie’s life forever. Mwwwahaha!
Also interesting is Alcide’s face. He looks mighty upset about Sookie being a vampire chew toy.

I agree with the Alcide assessment, he does not look happy. But, honestly, I don’t care. Never really liked Alcide OR Quinn in the books. Well, Alcide started off OK, but his infatuation with Debbie really got irritating, and then he turned into a self-absorbed prick. Quinn…..”Babe”? Really? I guess some chicks might dig it, but if a guy kept calling me Babe, I’d sew his damn mouth shut.
Oy, went off on a tangent there, sorry, lol. I’m just nervous about next season. I know Eric and Sook are probably gonna have some steamy moments (hoping for at least ONE), but I also think they’re going to focus a lot more on Alcide…..blech.
Alcide isn’t terrible. So it won’t bother me TOO much seeing him next season. Unless they start ignoring Eric and Sookie because of Alcide. I think some competition for Sookie’s affections is good for Eric and the story. Also, Alan Ball has confirmed that witches will be in season 4. SO I am hoping they will follow the fourth book–specifically in regards to Eric’s story!
Here’s to hoping the Alcide in the show doesn’t end up quite as infuriating as the one in the book, lol. I know he could be worse….heck, he could be Beel;)
Alcide interfering with the Eric and Sookie hook-up is the possibility that’s worrying me the most. I definitely agree with you that some competition is good, but I’m sick of how much time the show spends on Sookie and EVERYONE else. It’s like, “Come on!” But then, I’m not real patient….I devoured all 10 books in under a week because I was so addicted to reading more Eric and Sookie bits, lol.
I heard about the witch confirmation and was very happy about it. Like you, I’m hoping they stick to the book’s storyline as far as Eric is concerned. I know that Alan Ball said at the comiccon that one of the characters will not know who he or she is and this will cause some confusion….and he said that maybe people who hated this person before won’t hate him or her so much after season four. So what we’re hoping for in regards to Eric seems like it might be a given:D
Do you think they’ll somehow weave Lafayette and Jesus into the witch arena? I keep thinking that’s where they’re going with those two.

she looks really pissed off as bill’s backing out, so maybe she finally found out about the queen sending him to ‘acquire’ her & she’s finally had enough. about damn time.
i’m probably one of only a few but i would really like to see quinn in the show eventually, i liked him, he was the only one that met her & wanted to get to know her for no other reason than he liked her. More alcide would be cool but i want AB to focus on the Eric/Sookie relationship next season.
here’s hoping he sticks close to the book but i won’t get my hopes up.

Ya know, I can give Quinn SOME props, he was an OK guy. I don’t know what it was about his personality that bugged me….confident in the wrong way, I guess. I like Eric’s confidence a lot more. It’s….more secure and subtle. He doesn’t have to flash it around, I guess, he just IS.
I’m trying really hard not to get my hopes up, either…..we all know how much Alan Ball likes to mess up a good thing, lol.
i never liked quinn, too many secrets, too horrible a background, and he just wasnt the match for her.

i dont think alan ball is really that bad (i know, judging from what i usually says, i do, but i changed my mind) i just think he is secretly cheering for E’n'S as much as everyone else, possibly more, because he is just building up this big happy endning for them, and the more he says hes a B’n'S man, he just make everybody think theres gonna be no E’n'S, so when there do, its gonna be fenominal.

When Alcide is shown in the promo- The background is red and it looks like Sookie is still wearing that gray shirt. So maybe he shows up during everything- red background= fangtasia?
Also is Sookie wearing brown sandals? When Eric screams from burning outside- there is a foot and the person is wearing a brown sandal.
I cannot wait for the finale! I really hope Alan Ball doesn’t cut Eric and Sookie’s relationship, when the witches arrive, out.
It looks to me like Alcide and Sookie are in Fangtasia, too. One blogger speculated that perhaps Eric calls Alcide for help covering some things up. Could be why he shows up there.

Hey….has anyone else considered the possibility that Bill is flying at Eric? Remember in the book, Eric and Bill are both at Sookie’s when she rescinds BOTH of their invitations into her home.
So….maybe Sookie finds out about Bill’s big lie while Eric is there (Eric was there in the book when Sookie found it, it was just in a hospital in New Orleans instead of Sook’s house)….Eric, being the awesome viking that he is, can’t keep his mouthiness in check, so it pisses Bill off and he attacks Eric. Shortly thereafter, Sookie rescinds the invitation.
Maybe? Possible….but somehow, I doubt it. Because what I want never seems to happen!>:( LMAO. I would LOVE to watch Eric put the smackdown on Beel again….*sigh*
First of all, hi everyone! This is my first post here, I only discovered this blog some days ago, but every since then, I’ve been visiting a couple of times every day
Also, I just watched the above video and finally can no longer keep my mouth shut.
About the brown sandal: I think perhaps it might be Godric? He wore similar or the same sandals before, and from the first trailer for the next episode it seemed to me that he kind of appears to Eric outside Fangtasia (since he was all shiny). It’s just a guess, but seeing the scene, it was the first thing that crossed my mind.
On the whole, I’m really excited to see how the situation will work out. I mean, Russell is much older than even Godric, so he should probably like evaporate into a puff of bluish flame in no time, right? Which gives Sookie enough time to save Eric. Do you guys think that’s how it’ll be?

I think you’re right, the sandal belongs to Godric. We know he appears to Eric in a spiritual form. I know Eric won’t die but still the scene between them is going to be very touching. Godric was there at the beginning (turning Eric) and now at the end
I’m curious about the *Spoiler* “Eric grapples with his conscience while plotting his perfect revenge against Russell.” Perhaps after being saved Eric realizes that his revenge consumed him and risked the lives of those he cares about (Pam,Sookie). He instead chooses to spare Russell’s life and imprison him in a grave of cement.Justice.

I’ve been thinking about her Fae powers, does anyone else think that they’re fueled by the sun? Kind of like Superman lol. In the books she is told that the Fae love the sun, which explains her love of tanning.
Oh yes, that theory sounds good! It’ll be interesting to see, though, how Eric and Russell both get out of there alive. I mean, I could picture Sookie or someone saving Eric, but Russell? Do you think that the fairy blood might turn out to be more potent than Bill thought after all? Perhaps it just “kicks in” after a while and stops the daylight from doing any more damage?
Maybe Godric plays some part in Eric’s grappling with his conscience, too? Or perhaps it’s actually Eric that saves both himself and Russell because Godric reminds him that he ordered him to live? Something like that … just rambling.
You might be right about Sookie’s powers, although from what I’ve seen so far (and I haven’t read the books), I don’t think the sun has a direct influence, right? Each time Sookie used her funky hand-power-thing, was either inside or even at night. But the link doesn’t necessarily have to be direct. Also, it would fit with Claudine’s worry that Bill would take Sookie’s light, and that it’s very bright in this fairy-place (wherever that is).
It would be difficult for Sookie to save them both.Maybe Pam drinks her blood, grabs Eric and Sookie subdues Russell with her powers/silver chains? Sookie only kills in self defense, so I’m not sure she would let Russell die. That or Eric tells her to spare him, maybe at Godric’s request? As for her Fae blood I don’t think it lasts because she is only half fae. So it makes sense that the effect is only temporary for vampires. Imagine if they got a hold of a true Fae like Claudine? Would it permanently allow them to walk in the sun? Scary thought.It’s true that we’ve only seen her light power at night but it was uncontrolled and only lasted for a moment. In the preview it looks like she channeled her powers willingly during the day.

I thought that was naked were that Bill killed in her house… they were showing scenes from the past there for a few seconds.

Who was that lying naked on Sookie’s floor? Was that an old scene? I don’t think it is… It looks like Eric!!? Could it be where she finds him with his lost memory…
When did you see that clip of someone lying naked on the floor? If you saw if in the first minutes then yes it was an old scene. If you saw it in LITERALLY the last 15 seconds of that trailer then it was from the season finale. I did not see the naked clip you saw in the last 15 seconds so it must be old.

At this point I am just praying and hoping that there will be at least one Sookie Eric scene or Sookie Eric interaction in the season finale. I feel like there is SO much to wrap up that the two may hardly interact at all.
It sucks Sookie has to save Russell just to save Eric, but I’m excited to see more Eric in Season 4!!

At the beginging I really loved Bill and Sookie being together.But now that I have watched both season’s on DVD I am really liking Sokkie with Eric.I am really liking the Books as well.However are the Books going the same way as the Tv seris?If they are then Eric and Sookie get together and End up getting Married.How cool is that.I am deffantly on Team Eric all the way.When do they shoot season four and when will it air?If any one of you have any info that woulld be really heplfull.Also I heard that HBO might be making a big screen movie of True Blood.If they do I would have to be based on the last book Dead In The Family.But they need to have all the orrignal cast members to make it work.
